Noise protection walls type LS-60

Our modular noise protection walls are suitable for use as welding booths, grinding booths, work booths or hall partitions. They can be combined with all assemblies (clear-flex welding protection systems) in our modular system.

Noise as a problem

Noise pollution is a major burden for employees in the metalworking industry, especially in welding and grinding areas. Noise causes stress, which can lead to errors due to lack of concentration and increased sickness rates. For this reason, the limit values for permissible noise exposure in the Workplace Ordinance have been continually tightened.

Improving the ergonomics of welding workstations

Against this background, more and more welding booths are being equipped with sound-absorbing noise barriers. This is because the sound absorption of the walls is crucial for sound insulation walls for welding booths, as welding booths are not equipped with roofs on the shelf and therefore the noise sources are not encapsulated. The more sound-absorbing surface is installed, the more the noise pollution in the entire hall improves. In addition, fire behaviour is a decisive factor when using noise barriers in welding and grinding areas. To avoid fire accidents, only suitable and tested products should be used.

  Sound absorption coefficient ∝ w = 0.60 (absorber class C)
• One-sided absorbing design
  Sound absorption coefficient ∝w = 0.85 (absorber class B)
• Fire behaviour according to EN 13501-1, Euroclass A2-s1,d0 (non-combustible)
• Mineral fibre insulation core (100 kg/m3) with fleece inlay on both sides
• Wall thickness 60 mm
• Attachment of supply lines
• Enclosed by 4-sided frame
• Easy to install construction
• Fastening with stable support structure 100 x 100 mm or 80 x 80 mm (depending on height and any attached functional elements)
• All steel parts coated or galvanised
